Recommended periods

The Toubkal National Park is opened all the year. However, the most favorable time to visit it, is from late June to September.

Have a nice summer holidays. 

This protected area also offers during the winter season (from early February to late April, for your winter holidays.) the ski possibilities.

Like any mountainous area in the Mediterranean area, the risk of summer or autumn storms is real.

By taking substantive circuits valleys, it is best not to bivouac or hike afternoon.

How to get and move in the Toubkal National Park?


The Toubkal National Park is located 75 Km south of the city of Marrakech, between the Ourika valley (a holiday village) to the east and the N'Fis valley to the west. 

To get to one of its valleys, simply follow the roads and tracks leading to this protected area, which is accessed by the following:

Imlil Asni via the regional road R203 and Provincial Road P2005;

Tassa Ouirgane and Ijoukak by the R203 regional road linking Marrakech to Taroudant;

Oukaïmden by the Provincial Road P2017 and P2030;

Setti Fadma by Provincial Road P2017;

Of Aguim via the road N9 from Marrakech to Ouarzazate.

The busiest accesses to get to the central area of ​​the Toubkal National Park are represented by entry points some of which are under development. 

From these points of entry, you enter the heart of the park: you can move them by foot or by mule.


During the winter, and before exploring the Toubkal National Park, be sure to take stock of the mountain weather and check the accessibility of roads and snow conditions.

The museum is open to visitors all year round, 7 days 7, except on public holidays of Eid Alfitr (two days) and Eid El adha (two days).
